Our Story

Lights on Apple Blossom began as many large christmas displays do... an implusive need to add christmas decorations each year. Eventually it gets to a point that requires time, time, more time.. and a very patient and tolerant wife. During COVID our son suggested we submit a photo of our display to the richmond tacky lights tour be before we knew it we had limos, buses and cars slowly driving by. Each year since it has continued to bring smiles and joy to many. We have grown fond of meeting families stopping by and answering all of the "how do you make it all work" questions. We spend about 3 weeks setting it all up and making sure everything works. There is over a mile of network cables, multiple controllers and over 250k lights along with just a "few" electrical cables. Using a freeware software called Xlights, we are able to program each song and design all of the lighting effects. With the use of creative minds, Cad software, a 3D printer, and yes...a little Ai "fun fact.. this entire website was designed and developed by A.I." , we are able to make most of the props, lights and effects ourselves.
